Johnson County Voters Reject Kansas City Mayor Q?!?

A social media moment from Mayor Q earned a raised eyebrow from the chattering class this week.

From his own constituents and JoCo residents . . . The Mayor's endorsements for this week's election were universially rebuked.

In fact . . . KCPT newsies report that the Mayor removed his tweet following a tidal wave of negative reaction. 

When asked why the Mayor offered his endorsements, KCMO talker Pete Mundo answered:

"Ego. He views himself as a regional mayor. No one was waiting for his endorsement in Johnson County. But it allows him to say 'Look at what I'm doing! Boy, people are going my way!' It's a play for part of his future which could be a regional play."

This tracks with behind the scenes murmurings from Mayor Q's team who are already packing their bags for a new home in the Beltway despite historic murders in KCMO and a quickly worsening economy.
