Developers and KCMO invested quite a bit of cash to turn Kemper Arena into a youth sports facility.
It was always a bad idea and now this development thwarts the sketchy plan of luring families down to train tracks even worse . . .
The complex, called the AdventHealth Sports Park at Bluhawk, is being built in two phases, with the first portion complete in the fall or winter of 2024, said Samuel Noel, spokesman for Bluhawk. Initially, developers had said the first portion would be ready by spring.
