Kansas City Pretends Broken Windows Theory Works In Santa Fe Dumping Ground

This year . . . Cherry picking stats has been the new hotness for politicos as homicide stat continue to spike. 

To define terms:  In criminology, the broken windows theory states that visible signs of crime, anti-social behavior and civil disorder create an urban environment that encourages further crime and disorder, including serious crimes.

The idea has been repeatedly debunked with multiple examples of dumpy places around the world that still don't "enjoy" American style high crime.

Here's another blast in the ongoing effort that hopes communities will take on the majority of crime fighting duties given that police have been underfunded & understaffed by greater forces at work arcross the globe . . . To be fair, picking up trash is actually a good thing even if sociology in practice won't solve rising local crime.

KC 360's comprehensive crime prevention program has chosen the Santa Fe neighborhood for its village initiative.First on the agenda is a massive cleanup.

80,000 pounds of trash are being moved out of the area.

Multiple organizations make up KC 360. The program works to find ways to curb violent crime.
