Kansas City Lincoln Prep Forfeits Explained

Apropos for the last weeks of Friday night lights . . . We share a life lesson and local reminder that the point of the game is to play by the rules.

Here's the word . . .

"It has come to our attention that during this academic year, an ineligible player participated in several Varsity games in a limited capacity," a letter to parents read. "We take full responsibility for this oversight and sincerely regret any concerns it may have caused. To address this matter, we have reported the incident to the appropriate governing body and are cooperating fully with their investigation. Additionally, we will adhere to vacate the five games deemed necessary by MSHSAA."
