
A labor crisis and inflation hit the Kansas City restaurant industry hard this year.
More than a few beloved local places shut down never to return.
Throughout the industry there's a very real sense that the local food biz is in a state of permanent decline and working at corporate chains is more practical for locals who will make less cash and have to wear a dumb-ass uniform.
