Jackson County Prosecutor 'Mean Jean' Opposes Pardon Of Former KCPD Detective

In fairness . . . It's important to note what elected officials think about a controversial local case.

And a note to our trusted commenters . . .

DO NOT THREATEN ELECTED OFFICIALS OR ANYBODY ELSE . . . DON'T EVEN JOKE ABOUT IT!!!

Last time we posted something about Mean Jean we received a couple of panicked messages from courthouse officials about a comment implying something heinous . . . We dealt with it ASAP and had to grovel publicly because that kind of hateration IS NOT what this blog is about . . . Still, the groveling was necessary because adversaries of our blog community would like to eliminate this KICK-ASS ONLINE NEWS OUTLET and/or work to tarnish one of the very BEST places for the local discourse in Kansas City.

So . . . Please . . . If you're a trusted commenter of this blog and want to preserve the free speech of our community . . . DO NOT use comments as a platform to threaten others. When we find them we'll delete ASAP but it's even better not to leave them in the first place . . . Especially given the relatively small number of "trusted" users who can comment freely without moderation.

Object all you want . . . Make political statements as BOLD & STRONG as possible.

BUT . . . The adults who can comment freely on this blog should know better and understand what crosses the line.

Now . . . Here's the word that's SHOULD get attention and likely a great deal of objection amid a groundswell of support . . .

The Jackson County Prosecutor's Office released this statement today on reports of clemency requests on behalf of a police officer:

"We strongly oppose. The rule of law has spoken clearly on this matter through a Jackson County Grand Jury, three separate Circuit Court judges, three separate appeals court judges and the presiding judge of the Western District Court of Appeals, who signed the arrest warrant last week."
