"DeValkenaere's attorneys filed a motion to reinstate DeValkenaeres bond.

"The motion was filed Wednesday by DeValkenaeres appellate attorney; Jonathan Laurans indicated that he will file a subsequent motion for a rehearing of the case and transfer to the Missouri Supreme Court . . . Chief U.S. District Judge Beth Phillips continued the trial Thursday during a previously scheduled teleconference for the civil case.

"It is unclear when a new trial will be scheduled in the case, but the delay could be significant if the states high court agrees to take the case."
