City Manager Celebrates KCMO Union Deal & Higher Salaries For Municipal Workers

Kansas City workers are cashing in as of late . . . After years without a pay raise . . . A new union deal and a pay bump earned low-key accolades this week despite harsh times for plebs who don't work at 12th & Oak.

Behind the scenes, the mostly useless denizens of Mayor Q's office are also enjoying pay hikes . . . And so . . . The effort here is to keep everyone's eyes focused on cowtown winning for organized labor.

In the meantime . . . The plebs can only hope higher salaries result in better access and service from local government . . . But don't hold your breath or skimp on home insurance.

Here's the word from the city manager before date night . . .

"Every single Kansas City municipal employee is getting paid more since I started as City Manager in December 2020 (the only exception is me actually). Most with more than 15% increases since then.  We have more to do, but a good start to support our amazing team!"
