Activist Clay Chastain Shares Fiery Update On Free Speech Legal Fight With Mayor Q

After a blowout loss in a low turnout election  . . . Transit activist Clay Chastain continues his municipal crusade against Mayor Q with an ongoing court battle . . .

From his perspective . . . Here's how it's going so far:

Clay Chastain press release: Yesterday, Mayor Lucas & the City threw their final Hail Corruption Heave (Motion to Dismiss) @ the Federal Court to try and escape the consequences of their criminal misbehavior... Violating Clay Chastain's right to free political speech (1983 Civil Rights) while @ City Hall on a Council hearing day (public forum) and then prosecuting Chastain for political gain.

I just came to ask Mayor Lucas why he refused to debate me before the people of Kansas City. What I got in return was stopped from doing so, arrested, taken to jail and then prosecuted. And even though I had not campaigned @ City Hall, nor created any disturbance at City Hall, nor did I resist arrest @ City Hall, Mayor Lucas and the City decided (nevertheless) to prosecute me 3-weeks after the incident.  No one can doubt, Mayor Lucas & the Corrupt City sought to criminalize Lucas' sole political opponent 5-days before the City's Mayoral election.  But it all backfired on Mayor Lucas and the City when a court of law (subsequently) acquitted Chastain of the City's false, trumped up trespassing charge (unlawfully campaigning @ City Hall).

(No debate) Lucas & the City had to ask the court for extra time to concoct their convoluted, shameless and dishonest Motion to Dismiss that incredulously claims the City has no 1983 liability for its blatant misconduct and that the City's top elected official, Lawyer Lucas, played no role in having his lone political opponent arrested and then unsuccessfully prosecuted right before an election.

In order to try and escape their crime, Mayor Lucas & the City have foisted an undignified Motion to Dismiss upon the Federal Court that not only abuses... decency, free political speech in Kansas City & the United States' legal process... but is also insulting to the intelligence of the Chief Justice of the United States District Court @ Kansas City, Missouri.
