Kansas City Star Begs Readers For Attention: Did It Work?!?!

On Sunday the newspaper committed one of their most significant exercises in navel-gazing since that time where they committed a few issues to apologizing for their past racism.

Similarly . . .

It doesn't seem like anybody cared.

Maybe begging the public to take part in dead-tree media is a good strategy.

Probably woulda worked better if they sent a text.

Here's part of the pitch that stands out . . .

"We know you’re busy and need us to make it as easy as possible for you to share information, so today we’re reintroducing ourselves to you. We hope this guide helps you better understand who does what at The Star, puts faces to names and maybe encourages you to collaborate with us around topics important to you. We want to hear your questions, your concerns, your ideas."
