Kansas City South Loop Manufactures Consent Rather Than Submitting To Vote

A constant question from frustrated denizens of the discourse . . .

WHY CAN'T KANSAS CITY VOTERS CITYWIDE VOTE ON SO MANY SKETCHY DOWNTOWN SCHEMES?!?

Yes . . . We already know the answer.

Back in 2014 citywide voters REJECTED Kansas City streetcar folly.

Since that point . . . Local voter turnout has plummeted because it's kinda obvious this town doesn't rally have a real functioning Democracy.

Instead . . . It's mostly just a popularity contest and a great deal of social media smiling and scheming.

Still . . .

There might be some free food and drink at this festival of suits asking for handouts and some way to quiet traffic noise for luxury hotels & living space . . . Check-it:

"The South Loop Project team is hosting an in-person public meeting from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, September 19, at The Gallery Event Space. A 30-minute presentation will begin at 5:30 p.m., followed by an open house to view boards and connect with the project team."
