Kansas City Playlist: Strike Culture Rises

Tonight we consider this moment in time . . .

STRIKE CULTURE GRIPS THE NATION AS AMERICAN CLASS DIFFERENCES WORSEN!!!

Don't worry . . . If you're reading this blog tonight . . . You're on the losing side and not as rich as you'd imagine yourself . . . But it's nice to be grateful no matter circumstances.

Let's start with a local & national glimpse at American labor rhetoric taking hold as bank accounts start to dwindle, the economy struggles to stay out of recession and a government shut down threatens to makes things even worse . . .

Accordingly . . .

LABOR STRIKES AGAINST CORPORATE OWNERS ARE THE 2023 HOTNESS!!!

That's not a news but something that of our readers have trouble coming to grips with . . .

Sadly . . .

AMID AN INCREASINGLY COMPLEX GLOBAL ECONOMY, THERE'S A VERY REAL RISK THAT WORKERS ARE PROTESTING THEMSELVES RIGHT OUT OF A JORB!!!

And given rising AI tech . . . Good jorbs are getting harder to find.

In our humble opinion . . . Strikes make a great threats but really represent nothing more than missed opportunities at collaboration, partnership and trust.

Meanwhile . . . We want to highlight one truism in the modern era . . .

STRIKES ALWAYS HURT WORKERS MORE THAN CORPORATIONS!!!

The longer they go on . . . The more hardships plebs take on . . . That's not bias but merely a fact of capitalism that's built into the system in order to preserve the status quo . . . A feature, not a bug.

In our current media landscape . . . The public quickly loses interest and work can be outsourced and/or moved around the globe . . . Forgive our skepticism but the history of humanity has shown us a truism:

Money always wins.

Don't gloat . . . This fact of life ALWAYS works against individuals.

Still . . .

We can't predict the future and don't know how this thing will work out.

We won't spread pessimism inasmuch as life/love is also losing game but still ALWAYS worth playing till the bitter end.

And all of this inspires another strike, labor & love TKC playlist for tonight . . .

We start with a smooth yet bittersweet song from the campy depths of the Yacht Rock catalog . . .

We can only hope that our 2nd favorite Bob Seger song gives meaning to the struggle . . .

Rather than play Beck's classic loser anthem again . . . The song is a bit more relevant and might speak to the millennial mindset on rigged games.

Quick commercial break and a classic tune about about love lost from the world's first super group . . .

Finally, long lost singer Amy Winehouse captures the spirit of the moment going into Winter & election season that's clearly going to take its toll on every American.

As always, thanks for reading this week and have a safe & fun Saturday night.
