Kansas City Oak Park High School Doubles Down On Trans Homecoming Queens

Over the weekend a few TKC readers mention Oak Park celebration.

There was a bit of confusion so it's worth clarifying. 

ACTUALLY, OAK PARK HIGH SCHOOL HAS NOW CROWED TWO TRANS HOMECOMING QUEENS!!!

The ire and wrath this power move has sparked merits a bit of contest.

First . . . Nothing about high school is important. The more people know that the better. 

Secondly . . . 

Getting too worked up about teenage antics is just another sign of early onset old-age. 

There's a theory that this kind of behavior rewards youngsters for challenging gender roles. 

However . . . 

We're talking about pageant life in the Midwest which is mostly about big hair and sequins -- Which also only represents a niche hobby that doesn't/shouldn't really say anything about "womanhood" in general.

In fairness, check the outrage that's earning national news attention . . .

Not the first male homecoming queen in Oak Park history. In 2015, the honor went to Landon Patterson.

Landon, who began identifying as female just a few months before being crowned, went from homecoming queen to drag queen. Now using the monicker Lana Luxx “the Japanese Barbie of KC,” Patterson performs in a club and posts NSFW content on social media.

Kansas City High School Crowns Its Second Male Homecoming Queen

Oak Park High School in Kansas City, Mo., has crowned a male homecoming queen. And it's not the first time they've done it.
