After missing most of training camp with a knee injury, Kadarius Toney had four brutal drops that were a significant factor in the team's 21-20 loss to the Detroit Lions. His worst mistake was a tipped ball returned for a pick-six by Detroit's rookie safety Brian Branch.

Toney was quick to take the blame for the team's loss.

"I told Pat (Mahomes) all the guys, 'That's on me. At the end of the day, you all count on me and rely on me to make certain plays, and I've got to be there to do that," Toney said.

The 24-year-old went on to say there were no other excuses or blame to spread — he needed to be better.
