Kansas City 2023 Homicide #142: Police Investigate Northland Lady Found Dead

Tragedy stretches across the metro today and hits the nice side of the bridge as our local stats continue to trend toward record breaking numbers.

Homicide 7900 block of N Forest Ave

This morning just after 1030am, officers were dispatched the 7900 block of N Forest on a reported welfare check.

The calling party stated one of her employees had not shown up for work today and that was unusual behavior for her. Officers responded to speak with the family and shortly gained entry into a residence. An adult female victim was located inside of the home unresponsive suffering from unknown bodily injuries. Officers checked for any signs of life and were met with negative results.

Homicide detectives and crime scene personnel have responded to begin gathering evidence and collecting witness statements.

This incident will be investigated as a homicide and is considered ongoing at this time.

KCPD launches homicide investigation after woman found dead

Police found a woman dead Friday morning inside a Northland house and her death is being investigated as a homicide.
