Cowtown: Cattle Truck Crash Shuts Down Kansas City Highway

Whenever a local might mistakenly overestimate their own importance or, more helpfully, whenever a loyal TKC reader might be feeling under too much pressure . . . Just take a breath and remember that Kansas City remains a flyover country cowtown that most people don't think about much . . . And today's morning news cycle was dominated by a bunch of moo-moos killed on the road.

"A loaded cattle truck collided with an SUV just south of the southbound Front Street on ramp. Apparently some cattle were lost in the collision. Crews were working on reloading the uninjured cattle in to another trailer."

Overturned cattle trailer snarls traffic on SB I-35/29 at Front Street in Kansas City

The southbound lanes of Interstate 35/29 were closed for several hours early Thursday morning as first responders worked a crash involving an overturned semi.
