This week a tragedy inside the loop sparked investigation and protest.

The basics . . .

"OSHA is investigating the death of a worker after an incident at the former AT&T building in Kansas City, Missouri."

Here's more than a few things that locals don't know about the story . . .

- Union leaders and politicos have been targeting all of the biz involved in an effort to unionize the companies involved. 

- No, there weren't many people at a recent protest but insiders hope to sell a few news reports in order to demand unionization from one of the companies involved DESPITE any real interest from workers who are mostly comprised of ex-con shift workers grateful to be making more than 20 bucks an hour. 

- Expect to hear more on this beef in the coming weeks as newly elected politicos ride the corpse of some poor soul who fell down an elevator shaft. Sadly, there is only one Norma Rea . . . And if you remember that movie properly, everybody lost their job in the end. Again . . . We mourn the loss of life but even casual observers of this story have been put off by insiders attempting to EXPLOIT A TRAGEDY.

OSHA investigates death of worker at Downtown Kansas City, Missouri, building

"OSHA has six months to complete its investigation, issue citations and propose monetary penalties, if its investigation finds violations of safety and or health standards," a spokesperson for the U.S. Department of Labor, Chicago, said in a statement.

Rally planned after worker dies falling down KC elevator shaft

After a worker's death, a rally involving labor advocates is planned from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 8th and Cherry in downtown Kansas City.
