The Jackson County Property Crisis is only going to get worse as eye-popping assessments turn into bank busting bills.
To wit . . .
JACKSON COUNTY INSIDERS LOOKING FOR ANSWERS HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO EARN MUCH COOPERATION FROM EXEC FRANK WHITE'S OFFICE & THE RELATIONSHIP IS QUICKLY SOURING!!!
A bit more explanation . . .
It didn't take long for things to go south with so much public pressure and criticism over property tax assessment.
Moreover . . . Here's an open secret . . .
The Executive has checked out. He's not running for reelection and he's really not a factor in daily operations. The Legislature deals with Caleb and that's a familiar recipe for impending disaster.
Accordingly . . .
We're right back were we started before the recent election.
The Legislature seems hostile to toward the Exec's office and the feeling is likely mutual amid rising taxpayer complaints.
Now . . .
As voters & residents put more pressure on the elected official . . . There are a lot of questions, concerns & complaints confronting the courthouse that elected leaders could/should address . . . The only trouble is . . . Exec Frank White has always been HORRIBLE at interviews and/or cross-examination.
And so . . . Here's a sign to look for if this situation hits the tipping point . . .
The Legislature is now low-key warning the Executive's office that they have the power to subpoena Exec Frank White into an open session in order to talk about property tax problems.
The move is still in the planning stages . . . However . . . If outcry over the property tax crisis persists. Insiders tell TKC this will be one of the first power moves the public might witness.
Developing . . .
