Kansas City Builds Precious Doe Memorial After Private Donations FAIL To Materialize

KCMO builds a lot of stuff that nobody really wants . . . And TKC isn't saying this isn't a worthwhile project.

However . . . 

It's ALSO worth pointing out that, yet again, private donations were used to sell a project but then never materialized. This is a constant activist bargaining tactic that deserves scrutiny whenever it's mentioned in the future. 

The aftermath . . . Taxpayers will, again, pick up the slack . . .

"It will use PIAC funding from the 3rd and 5th Districts. Construction is expected to begin late this fall or early this spring. Plan presenters want the memorial to be a place of remembrance, healing and hope. "

Plans unveiled for Children's Memorial at site of 'Precious Doe' murder

The memorial will be placed where a pair of benches now sit with the name Erica Michelle Marie Green inscribed on them. You may remember her better as "Precious Doe."
