Kansas City 2023 Homicide #103: Victim Dies After Sidewalk Shooting

On 06/30/2023 just after 7 pm. Officer were dispatched to 59th & Wabash on a reported shooting.

Upon arrival an adult male victim was located on the sidewalk in front of a residence.

EMS arrived on scene and transported the victim to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.  Several days later the victim died of his injuries

There is no one is custody at this time.  The circumstances surrounding the homicide are still being investigated.

There is a reward of up to $25,000 for information provided to TIPS which leads to an arrest in the case.

We are working with Partners for Peace in all our homicide investigations to monitor risks for retaliation and provide social services to affected residents.

A man has died from injuries sustained in shooting on June 30 in east Kansas City, Missouri, police said on Friday.

Victim dies days after Kansas City shooting at 59th, Wabash Avenue
