Hartzell Conflicted On Kansas City Royals Downtown Stadium?!?

As always, we like to keep track of the Kansas City "discourse" and so many power players and their curious statements. 

Today, one of the smarter denizens of our blog community noticed the curious rhetoric of local activist Hartzell Gray.

Apparently, the Kansas City celebrity (giggle) isn't a fan of the impending downtown stadium . . . Take a peek:

In his latest bit of online activism, Hartzell takes aim at a local billionaire, which is certainly a powerful gesture . . .

Thing of it is . . . We don't necessarily disagree with the dude. 

However, again, the smarter denizens of TKC guide us to a more useful question for this discussion. Here's the word . . .

"I think this guy works for Sporting right? I hope they're not cool with him ragging on another hometown team. Who does he think paid for Children's Mercy?"

To that we reply . . .

Hartzell is the "in-stadium host" for Sporting KC. 

More importantly . ..  

Let's not forget that Children's Mercy Park is a $200-MILLION stadium that was build with TIF financing approved by the Unified Government in The Dotte.

As for the motive for Hartzell's hateration waged against the Kansas City Downtown stadium idea, here at www.TonysKansasCity.com we have two main options to consider . . .

Hartzell has either unknowingly forgotten about his own place in the LOCAL TAXPAYER SUBSIDIZED SPORTS WORLD . . . OR . . . Maybe his Hunt family bosses don't really mind that he's throwing shade against the competition for taxpayer cash. 

Either way . . . 

WHEN HARTZELL RANTS ABOUT TAXPAYER SUBSIDY FOR SPORTS STADIUMS, REMEMBER THAT, IN FACT, HE WORKS IN A SPORTS STADIUM THAT RECEIVES TAXPAYER CASH!!!
