
Union beef might be putting their members out of a job now that we know the Royals moving to NKC could happen quickly.
TKC fun fact . . . That photo up top is a fair-use remix of an image from a report from about "the fight for $15" a decade ago. Reality Check . . . The KCMO Main Street Burger King featured in the background of the image is now ABANDONED and all of those workers had to get another gig long after their glorious protest ended.
Quickie perspective about more recent power moves . . .
Standup KC has absolutely NO INFLUENCE IN CLAY COUNTY and they'd be lucky if they didn't arrested during their demonstrations . . . With all of the social media fan fare not counting for much.
Meanwhile . . .
The protesters demonstrate for Royals ownership that their tactics will target their team at 12th & Oak.
And that kinda makes a decision for a move to the nicer side of the bridge just a bit easier.
Leaders say if the organization moves forward with the proposed $2 billion-dollar stadium and entertainment district, employees should have a say in what their working conditions are.
“We need to have confirmation that we’ll have a seat at the table. Not a listening tour, not them saying they hear us, but to have an actual, intimate part of the process when it comes to structuring the CBA,” Terrence Wise, fast food worker and Stand Up KC leader, said.

Kauffman Stadium workers file federal labor charges against the Kansas City Royals
This is the first time that stadium workers have negotiated a contract since John Sherman bought the team in 2019. In new charges filed with the National Labor Relations Board, the union alleges the Royals have "not bargained in good faith," and threatened and surveilled workers.
