A woman and a 5-year-old child suffered life threatening injuries after being struck by a car Friday night, according to Kansas City police. Officers responded to a 10:01 p.m. crash near Blue River and the eastbound lanes of Interstate 435, according to Sgt. Jacob Becchina, a spokesman for the department.
