Kansas City Mayor Q & Missouri Democrats Promise Progressive Victory

I was gonna write "vengeance" in that post title but thought better of it because I'm trying to make the jokes less obvious around this dump.

Anyhoo . . . 

Remember that Mayor Q promised "the most progressive council in the city's history" at the outset of his reelection.

And so . . . In the aftermath of the ultra-glamorous and VERY, VERY important Truman Gala, we notice local leaders and cowtown strong female characters gearing up to take back power.

What Republicans can do with their new supermajorities

Legislative supermajorities are more than just a number for a party to feel good about. As the nation saw in Tennessee last week, a supermajority creates significant powers that go beyond what a simple majority possesses. Supermajorities grant near-uncheckable control for one party, giving a chance to almost entirely sideline a governor.
