The news is bad for every religious denomination as people, in general and across the planet, are turning away from faith communities. 

On the bright side . . . AI was recently empowered to imagine Jesus taking a selfie with his peeps.

Here's an apt bit of analysis that deserves consideration . . .

"All these statistics can be interesting and telling. But it's really hard to capture spiritual reality in numbers. For instance, lots of people have religious or spiritual experiences outside of institutional religion. The leaders of institutional religious bodies would like to find ways to draw them in, of course, but if there's one thing that's been true of American life for at least the last 50 or more years is that Americans aren't joiners in the way they used to be."
