Missouri man pleads guilty to felony connected to January 6 Capitol riot
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A Missouri man pleaded guilty Thursday to a felony charge in connection to the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol building. Jerod Thomas Bargar, 37, of Centralia, Missouri, entered his guilty plea in the District of Columbia for entering and remaining in a restricted building or grounds with a deadly or dangerous weapon, according to a news release from the United States Attorney's Office.

The Lee's Summit, Missouri, Police Department has identified the teenager killed in an industrial accident at a local landfill facility Thursday.Police said 16-year-old William M. Hampton was killed in an incident at the Lee's Summit Resource Recovery Park.Authorities originally identified the victim as a 17-year-old.
