For Sunday we share a bit of inspiration and a glimpse at HEROIC good deeds in Kansas City.
For those who haven't seen it already . . .
DIANA & JASON KANDER SHARE A QUICK PEEK AT THEIR SUPER-HERO POWERS AS THEY HOST AN AFGHAN FAMILY RESCUED FROM DANGER!!!
Check a quick description and a reminder that Americans stateside are still capable of incredible acts of bravery . . .
"Almost 2 years ago (August of 2021) when the US pulled out of Afghanistan, many individuals who had helped the US and our Allies were left behind. Including the family of my husband's translator from his service in Afghanistan.
"There were 14 of them. And they were in trouble. The Taliban were looking for them because of their work on behalf of the US-led coalition. The Taliban sent them letters letting them know that they had been tried and convicted of disloyalty and sentenced to death.
"Jason promised them that even though it seemed impossible, he would bring them to safety. And that one day our kids would play together in our backyard. Everyone agreed that would be incredible but they were all sobered by the fact there was no real pathway to make it happen."
A weekend achievement . . .
"Last night, at 9pm, they arrived in Kansas City. When he got off the bus, the head of the family, Rahim, said to Jason, "Is this real?!" and they both teared up and embraced.
"It felt like a family reunion."
