Deadly Domestic Violence Helps Spike Historic Kansas City Homicide Count

Just for Sunday . . . We want to call out something that has been lost in the conversation that is mostly about money & power . . .

WOMEN HAVE INCREASINGLY FALLEN VICTIM TO RISING HOMICIDE IN KANSAS CITY!!!

From our vantage . . . This is an aspect of the problem that can be addressed with agreement from all sides. 

KCMO needs more resources & publicity for women in distress coping with abusive partners. More education and resources directed to this aspect of the crisis could save at least half a dozen people a year. 

Tragically . . . Here's yet another place where help might have prevented tragedy . . .

"When officers arrived on scene they found a woman, identified as 24-year-old Nykolett Schroeder, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the middle of the back. She was taken to an area hospital where she later died from her injuries.

"The death was determined to be a homicide."
