"T'Risa McCord, who was terminated as interim EDC president and CEO in September 2021, alleged discrimination on grounds of age, race, sex and color, as well as a hostile work environment and illegal retaliation, in a recent civil petition filed in Jackson County Circuit Court. McCord, 64, was promoted to her position in December 2019, becoming the first Black woman to hold the role after working with the EDC since 2013."
