Ambitious Kansas City Rock Island Bridge Now Accepting Donations

SHOULD LOCALS DONATE TO PUBLIC/PRIVATE DEVELOPMENT OF ENTERTAINMENT DISTRICT SCHEMES?!?!

Didn't think so.

Still, in fairness and because this kind of shameless request give TKC a bit more leeway to sell something silly in the very near future . . . 

Locals can do whatever they want with their money and here's the pitch that isn't supposed to seem desperate given so much hype that, strangely, didn't mention this request for charity . . .

"Creating the world’s first trailhead and entertainment district over the Kansas River will be transformational. But it's not easy. That’s why KC philanthropists, investors, local government, and our start-up are pulling together -- and we're 80% funded!

"Now you can join them. Help light the bridge and make your mark on Kansas City."
