Will Kansas City Politics Ruin New Police Plan To Fight Crime?!?

Today there's a bit of hope that KCPD is working to spark community cooperation against historic violent crime.

A non-exhaustive list of partners includes Partners for Peace, AdHoc Group Against Crime, Mothers in Charge, KC Common Good, the Center for Conflict Resolution and the Mattie Rhoads Center.

All of that is very hopeful.

Here's the downside . . .

WILL RISING DEMANDS FOR LOCAL CONTROL & WORSENING CRITICISM OF THE TOP COP DERAIL PLANS TO FIGHT KANSAS CITY CRIME???

Remember that MOST of the current council spent their time denouncing law enforcement and working diligently to reallocate desperately needed funds.

And Mayor Q claims that the next council could be KC's most "progressive" in history.

Still . . . We're hopeful.
