Cutting down the surface area for drop/offs & pickups was a dumb idea that threatens to cost this town HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS OF BUCKS. 

Hyping foodie options over accessibility was a disservice and pushes Kansas City, Missouri into 2nd rate status.

“We’re expecting to see 20,000 daily outbound passengers from MCI today, tomorrow and Friday,” said Justin Meyer, deputy director with the Kansas City Aviation Department, in a statement. The peak travel days this week are expected to be Thursday and Friday.

KANSAS CITY, Mo - Memorial Day weekend is the unofficial start of summer and Kansas City International Airport is getting ready for a travel surge. At least 20,000 passengers are estimated to fly out of KCI starting on Thursday. According to KCI, this makes it the busiest Memorial Day weekend the airport has seen since 2019.
