TKC Newsflash: More Candidates Skipping Kansas City Voter Forums

These events are a great opportunity to see politicos in person . . . The only problem . . . Attendance is sparse and there's not a lot of candidates to show up.

Moreover . . .

MULTIPLE CAMPAIGNS CONFIRM TO TKC THAT THEY'RE NOT GOING TO WASTE TIME WITH FORUMS AND INSTEAD SEEK TO ENGAGE VOTERS ON THEIR OWN TERMS!!!

For some this is through social media, others will focus on face-to-face meetups.

In the meantime, here's the old school glimpse at how KC politics once worked . . .

The mayor and every city council seat are up for a vote. Every Kansas City resident will vote for the mayoral race, the city council district they live in and all at-large city council seats. Find your city council district here.

The voter registration deadline is May 24 if you want to vote in the June 20 election . . . Missouri registered voters can already vote absentee in person or via mail, and no-excuse absentee voting starts June 6.
