Kansas City Streetcar Construction Hot Mess Hits Heart Of Midtown

The toy train extension now clogs one of the busiest intersections in Kansas City.

Planning has been horrible throughout the process and local biz has endured devastating losses. 

Sadly, our "transit advocate" friends don't really seem to care.

Construction work began Monday on the KC Streetcar extension project at the corner of Main Street and Westport Road.An emergency turnround area for the streetcar is being built at that intersection.It means for phase one of this work, westbound Westport Road will be closed to all traffic from Main Street for the next six weeks."Construction fatigue is real.
