Kansas City NFL Draft Small Biz FAIL: Economic Impact Numbers FAKE!!!

Forgive us for disputing "the science" of cowtown economic development.

However . . . We share a constant truism that shouldn't be overlooked by taxpayers . . .

KANSAS CITY ECONOMIC IMPACT NUMBERS HAVE ALWAYS BEEN NOTHING MORE THAN PURE FICTION!!!

Sadly . . .

We've noticed quite a few people disputing frustration or even blaming patrons.

Here at TKC . . . We warned locals that the design of the festivities precluded much participation from local merchants who weren't selling their wares inside the event.

The disappointing answer to criticism: Politicos are blaming news outlets who worried about parking for spreading fear.

Genius!!! Sadly, nobody has challenged that specious argument.

Meanwhile . . . We contend that the testimony of merchants RIGHT NEXT DOOR to the big party needs to be carefully considered.

Here's one example out of many . . .

According to the NFL, about 312,000 were in attendance, many who walked by the entrance of Crown Center.

But between $50 garage parking and the event, shop owners at Crown Center say they didn't see the crowds.

And so, as this conversation moves forward and informs World Cup preparations,  we ask local football fanbois and politicos . . .

DO YOU TRUST & SUPPORT KANSAS CITY SMALL BIZ OR CORPORATE EVENTS?!?!

It's a simple question that will NEVER get an answer . . .
