Kansas City 'Klymax Lounge' Mass Shooting Kills 3 Overnight

In the early morning hours Kansas City's homicide count endured another horrific surge which ruins recent community outreach progress. 

Unofficially, this puts the 2023 homicide count at 64 which nearly matches the record breaking pace of 2020.

Here is the first report . . .

Homicide 43rd and Indiana 

This morning at 1:25am officers were called to Klymax Lounge at 4242 Indiana Ave in regard to a shooting.  Multiple officers responded to the scene.  The first officers arrived at 1:26am.  Officers located multiple victims upon their arrival and began providing medical aid.

Officers located five victims all believed to be adults.  Three of the victims were transported by EMS to the hospital.  Two victims were pronounced deceased at the scene.  One of those victims was located outside the lounge and the second was located inside the business.

A short time later, one of the victims transported to the hospital was pronounced deceased.

One victim at the hospital remains in critical condition and the other victim is considered stable at this time.

Homicide detectives and Crime Scene Personnel have responded to the scene.  They will be processing the scene to recover any evidence and speaking to any potential witnesses.

Kansas City police: 3 dead, 2 wounded following shooting at Klymax Lounge

Kansas City police are investigating a shooting that left three people dead on Sunday morning. Police were called out to the Klymax Lounge at 4242 Indiana on a shooting call. When they arrived at 1:26 a.m. on Sunday morning, police found multiple victims. Five adult victims were discovered, three of which were transported to the hospital.

It happened at Klymax Lounge, a nightclub located at 4244 Indiana Avenue, at 1:25 a.m. Sunday. Multiple officers from KCPD responded to the scene, with the first officers arriving at 1:26 a.m.
