Kansas City Look: Tina Turner Rolls Out, West Bottoms Spruces Up & GOP 2nd Place Assured

Of course, Tina Turner achieved so much in her life and leaves behind a catalog of EPIC work.

However . . . Her role in Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome has a special place in the heart of TKC because the film debuted at a fun time in my life and re-runs of the flick always provided worthwhile entertainment. Auntie Entity was a complex character that required a great deal of nuance and sophistication along with physical prowess . . . More importantly, the movie was a campy thrill ride with a tolerable social message that made the world's inevitable nuclear apocalypse seem just a bit more interesting.

And all of THAT inspires our latest peek at pop culture, community news and top headlines.
