The Jackson County sheriff has confirmed a deadly shooting that occurred overnight Sunday in south Kansas City, Missouri.Police said a shooting victim was taken to the hospital around 2:53 a.m. Monday morning with critical injuries. Officers initially responded to a shooting call in the 9300 block of Bales Ave.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Kansas City, Missouri, police are investigating a homicide Monday morning in the 9300 block of Bales Avenue. Officers were called to the area just before 3 a.m. on reports of a shooting. Police located one victim and transported that individual to an area hospital, where they later succumbed to their injuries.
