Man, woman sought in armed robbery at Kansas City adult entertainment shop

Authorities in Jackson County, Mo., are looking for two suspects who held up an adult entertainment shop in Kansas City. A man and a woman entered Erotic City on 8401 E. Truman Road. The man pointed a gun at the employee and demanded they unlock the door.

Accidental self-inflicted gunshot wound leads to prison sentence for Atchison man

LEAVENWORTH, Kan. (KCTV) - A 19-year-old man from Atchison will serve prison time after an accidental self-inflicted gunshot resulted in criminal charges. Christian Harris was sentenced Wednesday after previously pleading guilty to a charge of criminal possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and to a charge of interference with law enforcement.


Jury convicts Kearney mom in deaths of daughters

LIBERTY, Mo. - A jury convicted a Kearney mother in connection with the deaths of her two daughters. Jenna Boedecker was found guilty of two counts of second-degree murder, four counts of child endangerment, one count of fourth-degree domestic assault and one count of second-degree property damage.


Former Overland Park officer loses police license

WICHITA, Kan. - A former Overland Park police officer is no longer certified to work as a police officer. The Kansas Commission on Peace Officers' Standards and Training revoked the law enforcement certification of Cameron Nooner. Nooner worked for the Overland Park Police Department from November 2021 to January 2023.
