Jason Kander's Tireless Work For Veterans Earns Truman Award

The former Kansas City politico still earns constant criticism for his Democratic Party allegiance but the reality is the EVERYONE respects his efforts to help veterans across the nation.

Here's a bit more well-deserved bit of recognition this week . . .

“I don’t think Harry Truman spent a whole lot of his life to think what he needed to be in order to make his life whole. He spent his time thinking about what he needed to do,” said Jason Kander, a former state legislator and Missouri secretary of state who has chronicled his struggles with post-traumatic stress disorder and works today to help homeless veterans.
