Court Dox Redux: Did Brittney & Mayor Q Enable Jackson Mahomes?!?

This week Kansas City news junkies learned more about the charges confronting Jackson Mahomes.

Already we knew that he's facing three felony counts of aggravated sexual battery and a fourth misdemeanor count of battery . . . But new ALLEGATIONS from court dox reveal repeated attacks and a much rougher encounter than what was reported initially.

And so . . .

As close readers understand . . . We were pre-med and also read a bunch of women's magazines growing up . . . So we feel qualified to ask this question informed by our understanding of pop psychology . . .

DID BRITNEY MAHOMES & MAYOR Q ENABLE JACKSON MAHOMES AHEAD OF HIS CONTROVERSIAL ENCOUNTER WITH JOCO RESTAURANT STAFFERS???

As always, we need to define terms:

According to Psychology Today, enabling is: “accepting the behavior of another person without judgment, then allowing (them) to engage in that behavior—good, bad, or indifferent. A less cumbersome way of thinking about this is ‘holding space’. With accepting and allowing comes a certain degree of passive support—or even sanctioning—of the behavior.

Credit to TKC readers for dredging up a bit of online history worthy of a second look . . .

Remember that not so long ago Brit penned a fiery response to Jackson's critics that earned her social media & mainstream accolades . . .

And then . . .

Mayor Q offered a simple message in support of the lesser Mahomes . . .

Again . . .

At the time both of these messages were celebrated as bold stances against online bullying.

However, given that hindsight is 20/20 . . .

MAYBE CRITICISM OF JACKSON MAHOMES WAS FAIR & ACKNOWLEDGING LEGIT CONCERN WOULD'VE SPARKED MORE CAUTION AHEAD OF HIS CURRENT LEGAL HOT MESS?!?

As always, it's important to emphasize that Jackson is INNOCENT until proven guilty.

But the video recordings don't bode well for his case which, in all fairness, seems like an uphill battle.

In the meantime . . .

Neither Brittney nor Mayor Q have had much to say about Jackson's legal trouble amid recent charges and despite their pious defense of the dude last year.

Developing . . .
