Council Dude Blown Up Amid Kansas City Rockhill Street Repaving Debate

Let's start out with a quick tidbit amid our pesky Kansas City construction season . . .

About the 4th District incumbent and his worsening beef with neighborhoods . . .

THIS WEEK COUNCIL DUDE ERIC BUNCH & RESIDENTS ON ROCKHILL ARGUE OVER BIKE LANE PRIORITIES AMID STREET REPAVING!!!

Deets of the debate . . .

Council dude wants to talk about bike lanes and pave out for Bike/walk access whilst neighbors merely want to fix all of the damn potholes. Apparently, Councilman Bunch believes his agenda is more important.

Here's the word from a neighborhood insider . . .

"It's the same old arrogance we've always seen in the 4th District. This guy thinks that we're all riding bikes but doesn't realize that Rockhill is now a major thoroughfare and a lot of the people who own homes are seniors. He's making an argument about UMKC students but right now it's a commuter campus with some hope that the streetcar might be able to improve access. He doesn't get it. Bike lanes aren't a priority on Rockhill . . . We just want the quality of the road to improve."

The upside . . . Bike lanes don't seem to be a priority for his opponent Henry Rizzo as more and more local voters seem to be pushing back against this transit "solution" that often creates more problems.
