Suffer Another Kansas City Wedding Season

Marriage is over.

It's an outdated institution that's now only available to a small segment of the American upper-middle-class . . . Like skiing, adequate healthcare or a Tesla.

Marriage is impractical, punitive and honestly doesn't look like much fun. 

How desperate is it to require a legal contract and a death pact with the Almighty just to provide a weak assurance that a partner isn't going to misbehave??? Even worse, none of the legal agreements or religious vows ever REALLY stopped anyone from cheating, inspired somebody to become a better parent or a nicer person. 

Something to consider . . .  

Fewer than 50% of U.S. adults are now married. It’s time to give more legal and financial breaks to single people, law professor says.

Still . . .

There's a sizeable industry propping up marriage . . . And it's nice for people to pretend to be important and celebrate love . . . If only for a single day in their lives. 

And so . . . 

Be a dear and don't bring up anything resembling reality as friends & family continue making the same mistake that keeps the world spinning for the moment . . .
