Show-Me Jay Ashcroft Running Nepo Baby Campaign For Missouri Guv?!?

First, let's define terms . . . 

Nepotism baby, shortened to nepo baby, is a term referring to the children of celebrities who have succeeded in careers, usually the same, or adjacent, career to their celebrity parents. The implication is that these children are only successful because they have inside access because of their parents due to nepotism.

Now . . . For those who don't follow politics . . . 

Jay is the son of former U.S. Senator John Ascroft . . . Sure, he's a statesman of Missouri and a well-respected figure . . . But he's also a hell of a singer best known for his version of "Let The Eagle Soar" which has been a political comedy show favorite for nearly two decades. 

Now . . . 

Generally we like the SecState and don't want to poke too much fun . . . But it's early in the contest and other challengers might emerge who won't be as nice as TKC . . . Whatever the case . . . We're eager to see who the Democratic Party will sacrifice. 

For now . . . A word from the top political fam in the Show-Me State . . .

“Missouri stands at a crossroads,” Ashcroft said in a release. “Red states like Florida, Texas, Tennessee, even Indiana and Arkansas, have become examples of conservative leadership while Missouri Republicans, who control every statewide office and have supermajorities in both chambers of the legislature, have failed to deliver. I’m running to change that.”

Missouri Secretary of State announces candidacy for Governor

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Missouri Secretary of State Jay Ashcroft announced his formal entrance into the race for Missouri Governor on Thursday. Ashcroft's campaign and an aligned PAC has already raised more than $2 million prior to him officially joining the race. "Missouri stands at a crossroads," Ashcroft said in a release.
