Olathe Double Homicide: Fatal Gunfire Sparks Suburban Fear

Olathe is a mostly peaceful suburban in the Kansas City metro that hasn't ever witnessed rampant crime. 

This town of a little more than 140K souls suffered a double homicide last year but for the most part it's a place where residents feel safe.

However, here's what's important . . .

The smell of blood travels very far and lawlessness always been easy to spread.

Upon arrival, officers located a Black female with apparent gunshot wounds. She died at the scene.

A Black adult male was transported to a local hospital with apparent gunshot wounds. He was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

There is no suspect information at this time. This case remains under investigation by the Olathe Police Department.

Olathe police investigating double homicide near 126th and North Rogers Road

OLATHE, Kan. - Around 4:46 p.m. Saturday, officers were called to North Rogers Road and West 126th Street in regard to a homicide.
