Newsflash: Jackson County Desperately Seeking Caleb's Old Truck

Elections come and go but bureaucrats have a way of lingering in Kansas City for decades at a time. 

Accordingly . . . Today we offer a peek behind the scenes at the courthouse wherein we've noticed quite a few questions about politicos in transit . . . Here's the word . . . 

"Remember that fancy Chevy pickup truck that JaxCo Underboss Caleb Clifford insisted upon taxpayers providing him for "public business" use?

"That truck is still listed as a county asset, but no one has seen it in six months. Sure, it is an older truck now, but it is county property. Where is it? Did they salvage it?

"Caleb drives a different county vehicle today . . . Oh where, oh where, can the fancy truck be?"

THE REAL STORY HERE IS THAT THE NEW LEGISLATURE ALSO DOESN'T SEEM TO LIKE CALEB!!!

Caleb is the dude who REALLY runs the county whilst the Exec is golfing and smiling for the public. 

His position has a great deal of power but also inspires animosity for those who don't like dealing with middle-men.

We expect to hear more on this topic as very smart people comprise the new legislature and are sure to come into conflict with the lame duck regime . . . In fact, we're pretty sure frustrations have already started.
