Kansas City Triple Deadly Weekend Threatens Worsening Local Bloodshed

More to the point . . . Things are, CLEARLY, getting rougher on local streets and there's not much (if any) political will to change the current trend.

Even worse . . . Nicer weather on Sunday risks even more bloodshed. 

Thankfully, we're encouraged that at least KMBC seems concerned about the implications.

Kansas City police are continuing to investigate after three deadly shootings in the metro in less than 24 hours.Five people, including a child, were shot Friday night at 35th and Prospect. One of them died at the hospital.Hours later, in Westport, police found a man shot to death near 40th and Washington.


Community Leader Speaks Out Against Homicides in KCMO

Kansas City, Missouri, saw three homicides between Friday night and Saturday morning. Three people died as a result of the crimes and others were injured. Two of the homicides occurred on Prospect Avenue, just a couple of blocks apart. KCTV5 talked to KC Mothers In Charge founder, Rosilyn Temple, who lost her son to a homicide more than a decade ago.
