Kansas City Police Standoff Concludes After Deadly Gunfire

The operation 100 at 75th and Bellefountaine has concluded. No other parties were found inside the Apt.

75th and Bellefontaine Police Stand-off

This afternoon just before 4 pm. Officers were dispatched to 75th and Askew on a medical unknown. While on scene dispatch updated officers that an adult male was at 73rd and Indiana. Officers located the male and observed him to be suffering from an apparent gun shot wound.

Officers began rendering first aid until EMS arrived on scene and transported the adult male to an an area hospital in critical but stable condition.

Contributing factors to the shooting are unknown at this time.

Suspect information is unknown but It is believed to be an adult black male.

Tactical officers have called a police standoff at an area apartment complex. Those efforts are ongoing at this time.

Kansas City officers were called to the area just after 3:30 p.m. Monday on a reported sound of gunshots.

The Kansas City, Missouri Police Department is investigating a homicide on Monday afternoon. KCPD was investigating a deadly shooting near 68th and Bellefontaine when officers surrounded a nearby home.The shooting occurred in a residential neighborhood just before 3:30 p.m. Police found the victim in the street and attempted life-saving measures when they arrived.

Kansas City police respond to standoff in connection to shooting

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Police in Kansas City, Missouri, responded to standoff in connection to a shooting on Monday afternoon. Officers initially responded to a medical unknown nature call near Askew Avenue and east 75th Street. No victim was located. Police were later dispatched to a shooting call near east 93rd Street and Indiana Avenue.
