Kansas City Royals Confront Union Outcry

This little tidbit makes for an effective organized labor talking point.

Working the stands at the K is a very TOUGH JOB.

It's also worth noting that the work has lifted DOZENS of people out of poverty. 

Meanwhile . . . Careful news readers should know that recent labor clap backs are likely a signal to the home team that they're going to HAVE TO PAY BIG AND PAY THE RIGHT PEOPLE for a new stadium.

Here's the official story . . .

A press release from the union states workers used to bring their cups into Kauffman Stadium from their homes to drink water from. But two years ago, they said the team stopped allowing that.

“You would have to speak with the Royals as to why they’re doing this, and why they don’t allow this and as to why they refuse to allow that as part of the bargaining contract that they’re working on right now,” an SEIU Local 1 spokesman said.
