Kansas City Public Library 'Period Party' Offends Some Taxpayers

Our only real question is why they included the symbol for males on their announcement along with word that this event was an 'all gender' party . . . It seems like this might be one instance wherein lady talk is not only permissible but encouraged . . . Nevertheless, here's the note sent to our blog community on the topic of local educational programming . . .

"I'm sick of the Library wasting my tax money.   I pay $420/year from my property taxes alone for the library.   I'm quite the reader too, and could almost buy every book I read each year with the money I spend in taxes.

"And now they are hosting a "period party" and doing crafts.   What.the.hell."
